GSPC Names New Chief Operations Officer

ATLANTA, GA – Imani Strong-Tucker has been tapped to lead day-to-day operations as Chief Operating Officer at Griffin & Strong, P.C.

“We are so very proud of Imani,” GSPC founder and CEO Rodney K. Strong said. “We have watched her develop into an incredible leader and a powerful woman as she has grown through the ranks with us. This firm’s future is bright with her at the helm.”

Strong-Tucker is the daughter of Strong and his wife, fellow named partner Delmarie Griffin.

She started with GSPC in 2013 as a deputy project manager, leading the firm’s disparity studies for organizations including Memphis, Tenn., the Georgia Department of Transportation, Savannah, GA, and Cuyahoga County, OH.

Her role with the firm progressed to include leading qualitative research during which time she developed the firm’s anecdotal data collection methodology, and to a role as operations manager.

Strong-Tucker has earned a Master of Science degree in Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford in Oxford, England, and a Master of Research degree with distinction in Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is currently in progress to complete her Doctor of Philosophy in Social Anthropology at the London School of Economics, with research funded by the school’s International Inequalities Institute and the Leverhulme Trust.

She says her work in public policy “focuses on the creation of opportunity for diverse business owners and the identification of barriers to participation.”

Prior to working for Griffin and Strong, P.C., Strong-Tucker earned a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, summa cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass. As an undergraduate, she served as a legal intern with the Fulton County District Attorney’s Office in Atlanta and with Dewey & LeBoeuf, LLP, as a paralegal intern. She also served as a Fellow in the Speaking, Arguing, and Writing Program at Mount Holyoke’s Weismann Center for Leadership and the Liberal Arts.
