Meet the Team - Getting to Know Kalvin Walden

Hello! My name is Kalvin Walden and I am a Data Analyst with Griffin & Strong.

I joined G&S in 2022 and have served as the Data Analyst on over 10 studies. I’ve enjoyed applying my analytical background to the studies I’ve had the opportunity to work on. 

Education

I first attained my Associate’s degree in Mathemeatics from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College the same year I graduated high school in 2020, before going on to complete my Bachelor of Science in Statistics from Florida State University in 2022. After undergrad, I began pursuing my Master’s in Analytics at Georgia Tech, starting in January 2024. I’ve since paused those studies as my family has grown year by year, but I am leaving the door open to finish down the road. 

Interests

Outside of work as a Data Analyst, time is typically spent with my beautiful wife and 3 kids (4th will be here October 2026) – 1 boy, 3 girls. Time spent with them may consist of simply hanging out, playing with toys, and pretending to be the Hulk or may entail us driving from Mississippi all the way to California – you just never know. 

I also have an immense passion for the game of basketball, having played nearly all my life. Though my official playing days are in the past, I am still an avid watcher of the NBA, enjoy playing recreationally, and have begun coaching the youth over the past 2 years through travel basketball in the summer. It’s been a blessing to remain around the game I love, build relationships with young men that I hope last a lifetime, and pass on some of the knowledge and wisdom I’ve been able to attain over the years.
